Date: April 6th-8th, 2016.
Approximately, 30 % of the drugs on the market exert their biological activities upon binding to G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs). The GLISTEN conference in Erlangen (April 2016) is a joint meeting with the DFG funded Research Training Group “Medicinal Chemistry of Selective GPCR Ligands” (GRK 1910).
The meeting will focus on the interplay between medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, structural biology and molecular pharmacology, leading to an improved understanding on the structure and function of GPCRs. Moreover, rational strategies to design and develop orthosterically and allosterically binding molecular probes and drug candidates will be presented.
